Start »» This is a website about me. I am just this girl, who works on open source web based education stuff, and drinks too much. I write mundane crap about things I do. If you're interested in things about me in list format, go here. You can also send me email, or subscribe to my rss feed. My new gpg key id is 0xA110DDD2, and my old (not quite yet deprecated) gpg key id is 0xA30EC22B I have stuff elsewhere, you can find a handy aggregate at mjollnir.org This blog is syndicated on: The image you see above you rotates from a pool. Since these are all photos of me, none of them were taken by me. (Except the silhouette of me standing in front of a window with a kitten on my shoulder. That one is clearly me taking a photo of myself in the mirror) Credit goes out to the people who took them. Feel free to reload the page and look at random images until you run out or get sick of it. I give thumbs up to: vex for hosting my sorry ass, lurbs for making mail go, and serendipity for writing such fine blog software and allowing me to hack it to pieces. We definitely ought to find some astro-turf or other non-slippery material for the steps. Not only ice/snow, but also just rain could make that thing into a rather slippery affair. I am sure your cat's more agile than I, but I am a bit scared now seeing these pictures. ;)
Yay!
So glad to hear nothing is safe & sound - and with an awesome katzentreppe. \m/ That's nothing. At my former apartment block in Zürich (you can go see for yourself: Limmattalstrasse 23, just above the Limmat on the way up to Höngg), the cat owner lived on the 2nd floor. So the cat stairs went from the row of postboxes onto the little shelter above the main entrance to the house, then the cats had to go up this narrow, almost ladder-like contraption, up to the second floor and in thru the little cat door they'd installed.
Awwww, Nothing, I miss you :)
I love that first photo, just sitting there looking out with her white whiskers showing! Glad she got at least some stair practice at my new house before attempting yours. :D I miss her too! How much to send her back aye? ;) hehe
Very happy to see she arrived safe and sound. xo Nothing katzentreppe! So that's what we built for our cats last week.
good to know it has a name. http://is.gd/2eSvz hah! first hit for "Cat Ladder" leads to this:
http://catladder.blogspot.com/2009/08/new-built-ladder-in-switzerland.html Yeah I totally had to get it on that site. I love it! did you see this one:
http://catladder.blogspot.com/2008/09/mnchenstein-switzerland.html Congrats! Very cool. I know what it's like to leave a cat behind - that's fantastic.
Chocolate is deadly to cats and dogs, please never feed your kitty chocolate again.
Thanks for your advice but we didn't actually feed her any chocolate, we just piqued her interest in the ladder with it.
My cats hate chocolate. That's the only reliable way I can tell they're not human.
YAY!!!! glad to hear you have your kitten back in your loving arms :) niddy got put down last week, wah! no more vampire kitty bites for me when i go back to wellys.... sniff
Great photos. Really liked your previous post about cat ladders too.
Have you seen the goat ladder? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zDS52_yT1gI/SnV63lmU0SI/AAAAAAAAFoc/Q5QnhZafGEY/s400/goat-tower.jpg ;-) |
