nokia 2112

I had a play with the nokia 2112 today and I can't believe how bad the ui is. Normally, I love nokia, but this phone is truly, honestly, retarded.

In order to send a text message:

Menu -> Messages -> Text Messages -> Create Message -> Add Number -> [search for, or type the number] -> OK -> Options -> [scroll down] -> Edit Message -> [type message] -> Options -> Send -> OK

To contrast, on my phone (nokia 6230i):

Left arrow -> [type message] -> Send -> [search for, or type the number] -> OK

My head asplode. I'm so glad I have the phone I have.

omg that fone is great its small light weight and kinda long but oh my god pressing like 5 more uttons isnt egzactly painstaking !!!!!!!!!

Just found this page after googling the 2112. Have also found the UI to be insane. I've renamed my GF (a compulsive texter) to be the top of my contacts list, so I've been able to get it down to 9 button presses to send her a text. Absolutely absurd. And I'm on prepay and have already given everyone my number so I'm hosed. I asked at Noel Leeming if I could try the phone before I bought it - no - but I bought it anyway. NEVER AGAIN. Nokia, my 3310 was perfect, how could you f*ck up the 2112 so badly???

yes again i agree with everyone its so hard to text .I keep people in my inbox so i just push reply rather than all the key presses to send a message . I always have a massage saved from my wife so i can just press reply. So this phone must have embarrassed NOKIA and there other phones must be okay.

yea i got nokia 2112. Itz the worst phone youu can get ae. I never take the long way to text. I just keep a few contacts in my inbox and when need to just click on them and press reply. im sure there are way better phones than the nokia 2112
